I. Product Introduction:
The QB2 double-orifice air valve, also known as the P2 air valve, is an essential component for pipelines. It is installed at high points or air-trapping sections of pipelines to eliminate gas inside the pipes, unclog the pipelines, and ensure normal operation. For example, when power is cut off or pumps stop running, negative pressure will form in the pipes, which may cause pipeline vibration or rupture. This air valve inhales air in time to ensure pipeline safety. When gas inside the pipeline needs to be discharged, rotate the valve stem counterclockwise to lift the valve stem and the valve body, so that air in the pipeline enters the valve cavity under the pressure of water and is discharged through the exhaust nozzle. Then, water in the pipeline fills the valve cavity, and the float moves upward under the buoyancy of water to block the exhaust nozzle and achieve self-sealing. During normal pipeline operation, air in the water is continuously discharged into the upper part of the air valve cavity under pressure, forcing the float to drop and leave the original sealing position. At this time, air is discharged from the exhaust nozzle, and then the float returns to its original position for self-sealing. Therefore, during normal operation of the air valve, the valve is always open, and the float repeats the above actions to continuously discharge air. When maintenance or cleaning of the valve cavity is required, the valve should be closed. Rotating the valve stem clockwise closes the air valve.
II. Product Features:
1. It can eliminate gas in pipelines, reduce resistance, and save energy.

III. Performance Specifications:
This valve is suitable for water and hot water pipelines with a temperature not exceeding 100°C, and can completely discharge air inside the pipelines.
⑴ Note: For pipelines with a diameter D＞350mm, please select the single-orifice air valve (QB1-10).
⑵ When installing a double-orifice air valve, a protective valve, a ball valve (Q41F-16), must be installed underneath to avoid water stoppage during inspection.
⑶ If the customer requires changes to the flange size of this air valve, please indicate the flange connection dimensions in the contract.
This air valve is applicable to pipelines for water, hot water, and high-temperature water up to 100°C, and can completely discharge gas inside the pipelines.
